Launch on Desktop

Trigger media assets and project files to open in their default app on your desktop from the web app, via our desktop app as a middle-man, mounting the space automatically.

<aside> 📢 TIP

This feature allows you to launch project files, such as Premiere Pro .pproj files. To easily access your projects, save them as bookmarks in your preferred web browser and quickly jump into your work.

If you keep all your media assets in the same location as the project file you're launching, everything you need will be readily available when the project is launched.

Step by Step

Go to the Spaces page of the web app and navigate to the item you want to launch.
Right click on the item and select ‘Launch on desktop’ or, if it is a file, click on it to open the ‘Inspector’ and click on the ‘Rocket’ icon.
If you are logged into the desktop app with the same credentials as the web app, then a connection will be made between the two.
If the space is not already mounted on your workstation, the creative.space Desktop App will automatically mount it for you.
The selected item will open in the default app on your desktop (This can be done over a local area network or remotely on a VPN):
1. Files - Will open in the default application for that file extension.
2. Folders - Will open in Finder or Windows File Explorer.
