Update a Template

Change the permissions for a template. Updates will not affect folder structures that were previously created using it.

Step by Step

  1. Go to the Spaces page of the web app as a ‘Team Leader’ or ‘System Admin’.

  2. Go to the Templates tab and click on ‘New Template’.

  3. Click on the template you want to update

    <aside> ⚠️ WARNING You can’t change variable ‘Type’ after a template has been finalized.

  4. Click on the ‘Permissions’ icon next to the folder or file you want to update permissions for.

  5. Edit group and user permissions for the selected item

  6. (Optional) Toggle 'Recursive' to apply permissions to the contents of the selected folder. Otherwise, the permissions only affect opening the folder itself and new items created within it.

  7. When done, click ‘Save Permissions’, which will update the permissions.

  8. Click ‘Save Template’ to apply the updates, which will be used in the future when the template is applied.
