<aside> ℹī¸ INFO When ingesting file(s)/folder(s) from other workstations, storage servers, and creative.space servers, using SMB copy locally is highly effective. However, if the SMB access is over the Internet through a VPN, it is recommended to use 'FTP Ingest' for faster and more reliable performance.

Step by Step

  1. Go to the Ingest interface of the web app and select a device from the SMB Connection list.
  2. If no connection(s) appear, you need to configure a new SMB connection on the creative.space server.
  3. The 'Ingest' feature functions as a pull, not a push. It allows you to copy files from (pull) but not copy to (push).
  4. A remote SMB connection will appear the same as if the file(s)/folder(s) were on a space. The only difference is that you cannot copy files to remote SMB connections.
